[ Quite luckily on the Kaoru front, even if Taichi isn't so attached to the hip with his siblings, he does have two and if it were possible, there would be absolutely no way that he wouldn't want Hikaru and Kaoru to meet them. And they're twins, that's way more intense a connection he'll never fully get, but he thinks it's cool and he's happy for them. Taichi may borrow things and twin without permission but he always brings them back. :)
When Hikaru opens the hotel room door, the following is what Hikaru will and won't see:
No shirt. Juicy pants. A beanie? (He was cold without a shirt, but wanted to remain sexy.) A red rose between his lips. A big bottle of lotion, because Taichi couldn't bring himself to buy real lubricant, but if they use the whole bottle, it should do the job, right?! (Right?!) His back is facing the door, so he turns around with the rose in his mouth to give Hikaru his best smouldering look.
It is, of course, slightly undermind by the fact tht his ears to his shoulders are pretty much bright pink right now. He's done his best to be seductive. ]
[Hikaru thinks he would be laughing if he wasn't in actual shock. This isn't what he was expecting because it's like he walked in on what somebody would think seducing somebody is and is Taichi trying to seduce him? He's shirtless, with the rose...? But the beanie? And is he wearing those freakin' pants?!
But as Hikaru looks around, dumbfounded, he sees the bottle of lotion and then his mind goes to the v-card and really, this feels like a very Taichi way to try to seduce him. If romantic music was playing then it would 100% be something that everybody would think of as a scene out of a romance film. Like something you get out of a book or guide. "How to have sex with your loved one for the first time!" Definitely a Taichi move.
But they haven't even been dating for two months?! And it bears repeating that Taichi cannot handle a kiss that goes on for longer than ten seconds?! So then Hikaru's misunderstanding?]

[ Okay, talking with a flower between your lips doesn't really work. Taichi gets flustered and accidentally bites the flower, and is so thrown off and embarrassed by it he just flat-out takes a chomps down the rest of the way and the stem and the flower fall to the bed on either side of his mouth... ]
[Hikaru's still staring in shock while this is going down and seriously,seriously, he would be dying laughing if this was any other moment. But Taichi just admitted he's trying to seduce him so finally Hikaru's out of his stupor.]
Seduction? We haven't even been dating for two months?! Are you being serious right now?
I-It's the third date! And White Day! I can handle it, don't worry about me!
[ His voice is decidedly a higher pitch than normal and he hasn't stopped shouting since Hikaru entered the room. ]
I'm sorry I couldn't wear the sexy underwear, I tried! [ He panicked and grabbed the Juicy pants instead.. ] It'll be easier with all the lights off under the covers!
What does any of that have to do with sex—[And then he remembers his and Taichi's conversation about when you were supposed to have sex in a relationship. Hikaru had been joking but apparently Taichi's been taking a sort of timeline very seriously. Oops. Maybe Hikaru should have realized this? He really thought they were both on the same page of thinking it was a funny joke but nope.
Sighing, he makes his way to the bed to sit down. He has to be careful about how he words this, he knows. Taichi may not actually be ready for them to have sex but it doesn't mean Hikaru telling him no wouldn't hurt a little and the last time he'd tried to have a serious discussion with Taichi, he'd told him he thought maybe aliens made him gay.
He was hoping he'd improved since that.]
We aren't having sex. Don't know if you remembered this or not but we're missing a few steps before all that. Not that I care about that but you're obviously not ready. So what some magazines or movies tell you the third date is when you do it? And that's probably about adults anyway, idiot. You know, people who've already had sex before? [The idiot is affectionate. Taichi's an idiot but he's Hikaru's idiot and really, they're idiots together.
He attempts a smile and reaches out to try to grab Taichi's hand.] Sorry if you thought me joking about us having sex was serious. I just think you look cute when you get flustered. Not that I'm against the idea or anything...[Ugh, embarrassing!!] But we're not going to do anything just because something says we should. We do it because we want to. Whether that's a month or a year or never. We're going to do what we want and what makes us happy. Got it?
[ He gets that. And a small part of him even probably knew that Hikaru had only been teasing him before. But to Taichi, more than the timeline or a joke, the fact is that he doesn't think he's attractive or special. He's lucky that Hikaru had eclectic tastes, and doesn't necessarily want anyone traditionally masculine. He's not smart, and his talents are mediocre at best. Hikaru is, in every sense of the definition, too good for him.
But he is good at giving everything he has. He's good at trying new things and dedicating himself to pushing beyond his comfort level. He's good at moving forward even when he can't see his own two feet.
And yet when Hikaru offers a hand, he bypasses it and goes straight in for the hug. Hikaru can probably feel him shaking just a little from nerves. ]

[ Okay, now that he's taken a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding, he has a moment to process what he wants to say. ]
I don't want you to feel like you're stuck because you picked me, so if you ever want more it's okay. Okay? Even if it's on a magazine's timeline! I guess I got a little in my head about it...

[Hikaru is relieved that Taichi isn't bothered. He didn't say anything accidentally insulting. He said the right thing that didn't bruise Taichi's already sensitive self-image.
The hug surprises him and when he hugs him back, it's the first time he's felt Taichi's skin like that and Hikaru feels like an idiot for thinking about something as miniscule as that or how it's just a little exciting. Not that he thinks about it for long because he can feel how Taichi is shaking, even if only a little.]
Ugh, Taichi. I'm never going to think I'm stuck with you not when...[Ah, he feels a little vulnerable in saying this but Taichi was literally half naked so he could do this much...and he did trust Taichi. He rubs his fingers up Taichi's spine, not really thinking much about the action.] I feel really lucky to be with you. It makes me happy. You make me happy. [His heart is beating fast as his hands continue to stroke up and down Taichi's back, it's really just a nervous movement. Not thought put to it much at well.
He pulls back, finally meeting Taichi's eyes. The moment feels kind of heavy but he does want to look Taichi in the eye for this part.]

[ Oh, that feels good. Taichi stops shaking as he's touched, both relaxing and tensing in a different way. Hikaru's fingers are on his bare back, and suddenly Taichi's ears are burning in a very different way than they were before. Or at least, coupled with the way they were before, because Hikaru's words...
Taichi genuinely can't say anything for a moment because he's just dumbstruck by the physical sensation of Hikaru's hands against his skin and I just want you echoing in his ears. It's still weird, to think that just Taichi is enough. Part of him still doesn't feel like he's earned it, like he's done anything besides screw up and embarrass Hikaru and not be patient enough. Even now, he was just in his own head and overdoing things and trying too hard again, and Hikaru's saying something like that...
Taichi swallows hard when Hikaru pulls back, lowering his head a little shyly but not breaking eye contact. ]
It's really confusing when you say things like that and touch me to tell me that's not what you want, Hikaru.
[ It's not the most romantic thing to say, but Taichi's genuinely not good at knowing what the right thing to say is. He's decided to be as honest as he can right now, because god if that wasn't outright seductive. He smiles, softer than normal, affection and embarrassment both clear in his tone. ]
I want you too. All I could think about for White Day was what the most I could give you was because I wanted to see you smile.
[It takes Hikaru a moment to think about what Taichi means by that because touching him how but then he was touching Taichi's bare skin so maybe it was a lot all at once? But Taichi hadn't seemed bothered by it, just a little shy? So Hikaru's not going to worry too much.
Even when he's pulled back, he's still holding Taichi and Hikaru doesn't really want to let go either. Taichi hasn't moved out of his hold so he assumes that Taichi doesn't mind that so much either.
He's overthinking, he thinks. It's best if he just speaks openly with Taichi because he knows Taichi's trying to do that here, too. And it's so simple, just being told he's wanted and should that make him feel so many things? Something as simple as those words? But it only makes him feel warm and he's happy. He's really happy to hear it and he smiles, almost grins.
Taichi just likes Hikaru and he likes him for him and that's so novel. Nobody's ever tried so hard just for him like this and it makes him feel special. But that makes him want to make Taichi feel special, too.]
You always make me happy. Even when you just message me things like good morning. I see your name and I can't stop smiling. I was happy this morning, seeing your note, and I thought we'd hang out and eat. We'd watch a movie or something and I was excited just to see you. [Has he ever spoken so openly before? Not with anybody else but Kaoru and Hikaru doesn't think it's fair to include his literal other half. There's something nervewracking about it, being so vulnerable, but he knows Taichi wouldn't hurt him. It's okay to tell Taichi these things and he should.]
I'm happy just being with you. [He leans in to kiss Taichi just once, softly.] Doing whatever we want. [He kisses him again but this time doesn't pull away because it doesn't feel like he should and he doesn't really want to. Taichi can stop him if he doesn't want to and maybe it's good for Taichi to know that he has that ability, too? Hikaru's winging it here.]
[ Taichi's felt butterflies in his stomach before, sure. But it was nothing like the way that his whole body felt like it was alert and light and nervous but excited just to be around him. He understood why sometimes people said the ones they loved were like the sun to them. It's the closest thing to the warmth he feels right now. Warm from being close, and little touches and kisses that feel just hot enough that he knows it's probably a little dangerous, but he wants to keep feeling them anyway.
And most importantly, he feels comfortable feeling them. Hikaru's made sure that Taichi doesn't feel like he has to do anything he's too nervous to do, that Taichi's not stuck in his head feeling like he has to push himself. The touching and kissing are just that, even if maybe they have to take turns hopping in a cold shower afterward because Taichi sure feels a lot better about not having to worry about that yet. He wants to! Someday! His body sure reacts to Hikaru and he's definitely had private time thinking of him, but now that Hikaru's talked him down, he thinks.. he wants to feel not just like he likes the way that Hikaru touches him, but that he can come to terms with feeling the way Hikaru just made him feel-- like he deserves to be touched, like he's worth feeling good because they both want to feel good together, not because he wants only Hikaru to feel good. The fact that he relaxed and is enjoying this now, kissing Hikaru back softly and moving closer the way he is, is because Hikaru makes him feel that way... and Hikaru and he both deserve their first time to be something they're both this happy about.
But it is a little cold and Taichi can't help but want to get a little closer to the warmth, so he moves to sit on Hikaru's lap facing him. He doesn't look determined or stressed about it though, except for going slowly because he's definitely never sat on someone's lap before and he wants Hikaru to have a chance to tell him no, too. He breaks the kiss once he's sat there though, for the first time deciding which part of that he wants to do and just checking with Hikaru that they agree on it. ]
Can we kiss for a while and then order room service and a movie? I definitely want to kiss you more now!
[ But he doesn't want to ignore that the rest of that stuff sounds good too, but he can't help wanting to kiss him.. he said just do whatever they wanted, right? ]
[Hikaru doesn't expect Taichi to move into his lap but he's not unhappy about it and he's definitely not going to complain. Not when Taichi has relaxed enough to do this and so he only moves his arms so they wrap around his waist, making sure Taichi knows that he's certainly welcomed in Hikaru's lap.]
Yeah, I'm good with that. [He is more than okay with that because kissing had started to creep into his mind more and more. Not that he hadn't been happy about the kisses he and Taichi had been having but he'd started wondering about doing more. At least only kissing longer than they were already but he hadn't wanted to freak him out any. Hikaru didn't think he had to worry about that if Taichi had willingly moved into his lap and was asking if they could keep kissing.
As soon as Hikaru is agreeing, he kisses Taichi quickly and grins.] We can even cuddle afterwards if you're feeling real risque. [But then he's kissing him seriously before Taichi can say anything else even if Hikaru has no idea what he's doing but he thinks that's fine because neither does Taichi, right? And Hikaru's pretty sure that experimenting and trying to figure out what to do when it comes to kissing is half the fun anyway.]
[ Taichi's shy in some ways, but in others, he's a little excessively forward. Jumping into peoples' arms is something he certainly doesn't mind doing, but for Hikaru he can do something a little further. He vaguely wonders if he stays too long, will Hikaru's legs fall asleep? But he guesses they'll find out. Ultimately, it's less important than kissing or being teased about cuddling (something Taichi was excited to do, too).
He finds Hikaru's hands with his own and tucks his fingers between Hikaru's, happy to hold hands with him even now that they're moving onto more intimate gestures. He's not really sure where to go from kissing gently like they are right now, but he's happy to keep doing it as long as he's got Hikaru's hands in his. It's comfortable here and after the stress of what he thought he was going to be doing today, he's more than happy to bask in it for the rest of the evening. In fact, he makes a little happy hum in his throat in appreciation of the kissing. ]
[As soon as Hikaru feels Taichi's hands in his, there's a smile into the kiss and then he's only spurred on by the hum he hears. Taichi's happy and so is Hikaru and he really likes Taichi. Even as he thinks about what had just happened, his smile turns into a grin and then he's laughing because the feeling is bubbling inside and over. He pulls away only slightly, quick to explain before Taichi thinks them kissing is funny.] I just really like you and I guess it kind of came over me all at once?
[Does that make sense? Hikaru isn't going to ask as he just leans in to kiss Taichi again before Taichi can say anything else. Though this time when their lips touch, Hikaru adds more pressure as he tilts his head just so. It feels good even if it's just simple and Hikaru just chases that feeling as he moves on past the gentle kisses onto something more passionate and deeper.]
[ Taichi looks like a confused pup for all of two seconds before Hikaru explains, then breaks into a blissfully large grin. He does that all the time when he's alive and just thinking about how lucky he is to have found Hikaru. The fact that Hikaru just gets so happy to be here with him like that...
Taichi almost breaks the kiss into his own giggles, but with Hikaru deepening the kiss into something more than they've done before, it ends up just being a quick, light 'hmf' before he feels himself melting slightly. He moves both of his hands behind his boyfriend's back, gently clutching at the hem of his shirt to keep himself grounded. It's very likely going to wrinkle it, but that's far from Taichi's mind right now.
Even if they don't do it today, there's still something he learned from that video he watched that he can try though, so he does, and moves his tongue to poke at Hikaru's mouth a little awkwardly. ]
[Hikaru is really happy with this kiss and how comfortable Taichi seemed to be. With how he grabbed onto his shirt and even if it wrinkled then it was fine. Right now anything seemed fine with how they were kissing. All he can focus on is how nice this is, how it good it feels, and Hikaru's considering going a step farther when Taichi takes that step himself.
And when Hikaru opens his mouth, when his tongue meets Taichi's, he's surprised by the shock it sends through him. It's the pleasurable feeling of it but also the fact that him and Taichi have gotten this far at all. Through everything dumb along the way. He wraps an arm around Taichi's shoulders as they kiss and he's not even embarrassed as he does moan quietly. Taichi should know he likes this anyway, right?]
[ Taichi's an awkward mix of overly affectionate, forward, shy, and nervous. Hikaru will eventually realize that Taichi's nerves come in more when he gets self-conscious or feels like he's under pressure. The fact that he's wearing the highly criticized Juicy pants and Hikaru, prince of judginess, is happy to kiss and hold him anyway is doing a surprising amount for his confidence right now on top of the conversation they've just had taking away the pressure.
It doesn't stop him from getting in his own head, of course, especially after he hears Hikaru moan and thinks he's doing good and that he's got to remember!! The techniques he's learned! Except then he's just thinking back to the porn video he watched with Zuko, and he definitely doesn't know how to do 99% of what he watched even before the clothing was off. It ends up in him kind of awkwardly just zigzagging his tongue along Hikaru's lips and licking at his tongue like he's trying to taste a lollipop. It doesn't really matter how awkward it is, because as far as he's concerned, he's tonguing Hikaru and that feels weird, but good. His mouth is warm, wet, and he wants more... ]

He's out of breath and it's a good thing that Hikaru is more cognizant of that than he is, Taichi likely would've just kept kissing him until he passed out like the doofus that he is. Instead, he tilts his head back to catch his breath and let Hikaru continue on his neck. The shorter boy continues his fingers' journey up his boyfriend's back, massaging lightly and feeling what muscles he has back there. He really wants to see Hikaru without a shirt? He probably can't ask that. Maybe he should try? He wants to makeout without-
Just as he opens his mouth to try to ask (or more likely, start asking and skate into something that feels less scandalous to ask when he chickens out) Hikaru asks if what he's doing with his neck is good and the answer is of course yes, but Taichi is focused on trying to ask for more and lands on: ]
[This is good, Hikaru thinks. The mood is nice as he feels Taichi's fingers on his back, as he moves his lips against his boyfriend's neck. It doesn't feel awkward and like they're really just doing what they want without worrying which is greatly how Hikaru prefers to go about things.
However, when he hears Taichi's question, he realizes that he has absolutely no idea how to give a hickey? And Hikaru, the hypocrite that he is, feels kind of annoyed that he's come across as very much in the know about these things but does not know about this. But he smirks, not letting on that he doesn't know how to do that, and asks:] Do you want one? Figured with you doing so much acting you wouldn't want one but maybe you want everybody to know what we've been doing?
[There, maybe he can deter him away from the idea in case he'd been asking because he wanted Hikaru to do it. And then next time, Hikaru could actually know how the hell you give a hickey because it couldn't be just...sucking on the skin, could it? That couldn't feel good, could it?
It's funny how Hikaru's thinking so hard about this and Taichi about how to ask Hikaru to take his shirt off when Hikaru wouldn't care about that at all and would gladly do it. Being in the host club has really made him not care too much about some things.]

It sounds like it anyway, but like.. less weird. I guess there are some magical creatures that can lay eggs, but it didn't seem relevant so I skipped reading the rest.

The hug surprises him and when he hugs him back, it's the first time he's felt Taichi's skin like that and Hikaru feels like an idiot for thinking about something as miniscule as that or how it's just a little exciting. Taichi genuinely can't say anything for a moment because he's just dumbstruck by the physical sensation of Hikaru's hands against his skin and I just want you echoing in his ears. It's still weird, to think that just Taichi is enough. Part of him still doesn't feel like he's earned it, like he's done anything besides screw up and embarrass Hikaru and not be patient enough. Even now, he was just in his own head and overdoing things and trying too hard again, and Hikaru's saying something like that...
Taichi swallows hard when Hikaru pulls back, lowering his head a little shyly but not breaking eye contact. ]
It's really confusing when you say things like that and touch me to tell me that's not what you want, Hikaru.
[ It's not the most romantic thing to say, but Taichi's genuinely not good at knowing what the right thing to say is. He's decided to be as honest as he can right now, because god if that wasn't outright seductive. He smiles, softer than normal, affection and embarrassment both clear in his tone. ]

Even when he's pulled back, he's still holding Taichi and Hikaru doesn't really want to let go either. Taichi hasn't moved out of his hold so he assumes that Taichi doesn't mind that so much either.
He's overthinking, he thinks. It's best if he just speaks openly with Taichi because he knows Taichi's trying to do that here, too. And it's so simple, just being told he's wanted and should that make him feel so many things? Something as simple as those words? But it only makes him feel warm and he's happy. He's really happy to hear it and he smiles, almost grins.
Taichi just likes Hikaru and he likes him for him and that's so novel. Nobody's ever tried so hard just for him like this and it makes him feel special. But that makes him want to make Taichi feel special, too.]
You always make me happy. Even when you just message me things like good morning. I see your name and I can't stop smiling. I was happy this morning, seeing your note, and I thought we'd hang out and eat. We'd watch a movie or something and I was excited just to see you. [Has he ever spoken so openly before? Not with anybody else but Kaoru and Hikaru doesn't think it's fair to include his literal other half. There's something nervewracking about it, being so vulnerable, but he knows Taichi wouldn't hurt him. It's okay to tell Taichi these things and he should.]

[He kisses him again but this time doesn't pull away because it doesn't feel like he should and he doesn't really want to. And most importantly, he feels comfortable feeling them. Hikaru's made sure that Taichi doesn't feel like he has to do anything he's too nervous to do, that Taichi's not stuck in his head feeling like he has to push himself. The touching and kissing are just that, even if maybe they have to take turns hopping in a cold shower afterward because Taichi sure feels a lot better about not having to worry about that yet. He wants to! Someday! His body sure reacts to Hikaru and he's definitely had private time thinking of him, but now that Hikaru's talked him down, he thinks.. he wants to feel not just like he likes the way that Hikaru touches him, but that he can come to terms with feeling the way Hikaru just made him feel-- like he deserves to be touched, like he's worth feeling good because they both want to feel good together, not because he wants only Hikaru to feel good. The fact that he relaxed and is enjoying this now, kissing Hikaru back softly and moving closer the way he is, is because Hikaru makes him feel that way... and Hikaru and he both deserve their first time to be something they're both this happy about.
But it is a little cold and Taichi can't help but want to get a little closer to the warmth, so he moves to sit on Hikaru's lap facing him. He doesn't look determined or stressed about it though, except for going slowly because he's definitely never sat on someone's lap before and he wants Hikaru to have a chance to tell him no, too. He breaks the kiss once he's sat there though, for the first time deciding which part of that he wants to do and just checking with Hikaru that they agree on it. ]

Yeah, I'm good with that. [He is more than okay with that because kissing had started to creep into his mind more and more. Not that he hadn't been happy about the kisses he and Taichi had been having but he'd started wondering about doing more. At least only kissing longer than they were already but he hadn't wanted to freak him out any. Hikaru didn't think he had to worry about that if Taichi had willingly moved into his lap and was asking if they could keep kissing.
