Finding Mankai Company was something that Taichi never thought he would find-- a place he felt accepted, felt supported. A place he didn't feel he deserved. Hikaru was someone he found and didn't betray, who cares about him and wants to be around him outside of acting, outside of whatever faults he has... and he's important.
